This position is locally funded.

Salary is determined on directly related experience supported by a service record or experience affidavit.  Annualized pay may be pro-rated based on actual start date.  This position is non-stipend eligible.

 

Position Summary

 

The Educational Diagnostician performs comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education, ensuring compliance with both state and local eligibility requirements. Serves as a liaison and case manager, facilitating communication and collaboration among educators, families, students, district personnel, and community agencies. Assists in the development and planning of school-based programs as needed.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.

Posture: Frequent walking, standing, Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse. Occasional reaching. 

Lifting: Lifting and carrying 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-40 pounds occasionally, more than 45 pounds infrequently with assistance; Pushing/pulling 10-35 pounds sporadically.

Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise. May be required under specific circumstances to provide physical restraint of students in danger of causing harm to themselves or others. Frequent districtwide and occasional statewide travel.

Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions and prolonged or irregular hours.
