To assist the director of Boerne ISD Bands in teaching music and visual fundamentals, and supporting the overall success of the marching band program.
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma
Some college
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Marching Band Experience
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills
Self-starter with a passion for music and marching band
Experience:
Previous experience in a marching band, either as a performer or as a technician, is preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Participate in marching band leadership meetings and events
Assist the director in marching fundamentals and drill during band camp
Attend all visual rehearsals during the Summer Band Camp and Fall Semester as a marching and music technician as assigned.
Work with the director and section leaders to teach, adjust, and tune performance during rehearsals
Teach visuals for assigned section
Manage time effectively

Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals, musical instruments, equipment for maintenance and repair
Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking and movement on the field during rehearsals and performances
Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 50 pounds); may lift and move instruments and equipment
Environment: Work both inside and outside, regular exposure to noise
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours
