POSITION SUMMARY:

Pathways in Technology (Cyber Security) Administrator is responsible for operating the instructional program and providing educational guidance for the staff, students, and community. The P-TECH Administrator will work with appropriate central office staff, business partners and higher education partners to ensure program success. The P-TECH Administrator will also be responsible for advertising, recruiting, and educating parents, students and the community about the P-TECH model.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop and implement an innovative workplace learning curriculum:
1 . Serve the role of Industry/Partner Liaison and P-TECH campus administrator to create
project-based learning opportunities and workplace experiences that address workplace
competencies and technical skills
2. Work with the Industry Liaison and Advisory Board to develop an industry-validated
assessment tool for workplace competencies and technical skills.


Manage mentoring program at the P-TECH Academy:
1. Develop online mentoring projects to successfully support the eventual transition of a
District/Industry Liaison.
2. Survey existing resources and implement best practices.
3. Work with teachers to tailor assignments to student needs and workplace learning
curriculum.
4. Train students and teachers in an online platform and program expectations relevant to the
industry.
5. Monitor student participation in the program and provide connections/supports for
struggling P-TECH students.
6. Work with the Employer and Advisory Board to plan program-related events.
7. Serve as the primary point of contact for teachers and students.


Work with the District and Advisory board to coordinate on-site workplace learning
experiences:
1. Determine learning objectives for each visit.
2. Plan the agenda with the hosting organization.
3. Coordinate school logistics and scheduling.
4. Recruit volunteers and chaperones.
5. Create pre- and post-workplace activities for students and teachers.


Create professional development opportunities for the P-TECH campus staff:
1 . Facilitate (bi-) weekly workplace learning meetings with teachers.
2. Conduct weekly classroom observations.
3. Lead monthly professional development sessions for the entire campus staff.


Work with the District and Advisory Board to coordinate internships:
1. As the Industry/Partner liaison, collaborate with others to determine learning goals,
projects, and identify students for individual placements.
2. Develop comprehensive evaluation for students and worksite liaisons.
3. Conduct regular check-ins with students, teachers, and liaisons.
4. Serve as the primary point of contact for school staff and liaisons.
5. Coordinate scheduling and transportation.
