Primary Purpose:

Ensure efficient operation of school administrative office and provide clerical services for school’s administrative staff.

 

Qualifications

Bilingual (preferred)

High School diploma or GED

 

Skills

Proficient Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, Outlook. 

 

Experience

2 years clerical experience

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Promote positive work environment and staff morale within the Assistant Principals’ office and school 
  2. Manage / distribute campus textbook 
  3. Collect fines/fees:?parking and damaged or lost textbooks 
  4. Coordinate substitutes and Subfinder duties 
  5. Supervise student aides assigned to Assistant Principals’ office 
  6. ?Receive students sent with a discipline referral;?distribute the referral to the appropriate administrator 
  7. Post discipline referral information to the student records. Run reports as required by the Assistant Principals’, Counselors, Principal, etc. 
  8. Createlists for supervisor in charge of those detentions.
  9. Communicate with the Alternative Campus concerning disciplinary actions taken and school work assignments for students placed at AC. Communicate with teachers to obtain assignments for those students placed at the Alternative Campus 
  10. Type correspondence and other communications for the APs. Set up ??conference with parents, students, and patrons of the district as required 
  11. Maintain discipline file system per TEA Guidelines for PEIMS extractions 
  12. Schedule 504 meetings and assist 504 Assistant Principal with maintenance of 504 records. 
  13. Assist Academic Dean with computer and data input. 
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by assistant principal or principal 

Other

  1. Assist with planning, preparation, and setup of faculty meetings and campus activities.
  2. Sort, distribute, or deliver mail and other documents.
  3. Administer medication to students, check temperatures, and notify parents of student illness in nurse’s absence.
  4. Maintain confidentiality.
